ABSTRACT:
Infections of the vagina, especially those caused by Candida albicans, are very common and can cause irritation and inconvenience to women's everyday activities. Antifungal treatments can be used to treat the infections, although they may occasionally cause negative effects or eventually lose their effectiveness. We therefore took the risk of looking into a kinder, more organic substitute. In this research, we used Tridax procumbens, a plant that has long been used for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and therapeutic properties, to create a herbal vaginal suppository, which is a tiny, dissolvable tablet. To create a calming and effective mixture, we carefully isolated its active compounds and combined them with organic components including cocoa butter, beeswax, glycerine, and essential oils. In addition to being stable and simple to use, we tested this vaginal suppository and found that their pH was suitable for the vaginal environment. Most significantly, they demonstrated strong antifungal action against Candida albicans. Tridax procumbens vaginal suppositories may be a safe, natural, and efficient treatment for vaginal infections, according to these findings. They might end up being a beneficial option for ladies who are interested in holistic healthcare with more investigation and clinical testing.
