ABSTRACT:
Business Planning and Development Unit in JNKVV has been established under component -1 of National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) with support from ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) and funding from World Bank. The project was implemented by NAIP on 09.10.2009 and implemented in the Vishwavidyalaya on 15.12.2009. It was a five year project completed on 31/03/2014 and Total sanctioned amount for the sub-project: 330.91 Lakhs. After successful completion of tenure, it has been running by revolving fund mode under the jurisdiction of university. Since the inception, it is playing a vital role in the development of agripreneurship and commercializing transferable technology through incubator, protection through IPR, licensing, commercialization, market linkages, quality assurance system and human resource development. It is a unique ecosystem of mentors brought together to advise, share, and collaborate. With regular events, internal networks and support systems. We are committed to helping agripreneurs gain that competitive advantage. It is the Principal agency with special responsibility for entrepreneurship development. It has been focusing attention on developing programmes for entrepreneurship development and innovative training techniques for trainees. It conducts research, specific trainings on Seed, Biofertilizer and Herbal-Medicinal products, Need specific one day workshops, field day, Agri. Business camp, Sensitization session, Startup and Bankers Meet, generation and dissemination of new knowledge, Thematic seminars, Innovative trainings, performance improvement programmes for existing entrepreneurs, competent management programmes for unemployed non-technical graduates and institution building activities for encouraging the participation through PPP. It has continued to offer its services to Pan India. It has the core specialization in agripreneurship development via aforesaid Capacity building programmes and Transfer of technology. Till date it has conducted 56 makeable events varies from a daylong to 90 days duration on different aspects of Ag. Business for farmers’ society. It has been serving to Madhya Pradesh Seeds and Farm Development Corporation, Madhya Pradesh Forest Department, MAHABEEJ (Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation Ltd) - Akola, ASA Bhopal and CNF Foundation Switzerland, Madhya Bharat Consortium of Farmer Producers company limited (MBCFPCL), Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI, Gurgaon), Ekgaon pvt. Ltd, Biotechnology Development Association of India Ltd, Solidaridad, Bhopal and Techno Serve, Bhopal any many more. Its few significant programs are 90 days Organic certificate training programme (funded by ASA Bhopal and CNF Foundation Switzerland) for the rural youth of village. Point to remember is that, all 30 participant got at least 2 placement offer from different companies, Training programme on seed production and Marketing Management held for the officers of Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation Ltd. Point to remember is that, it is the leading seed corporation in our country and under this we trained 230 Officers and employees of MAHABEEJ on various aspect of Seed business and Production, Agriculture Service Provider [ASP] Training Programme for the ASPs of BDAI, Bhopal under which we trained about 180 ASPs of MP, UP, Haryana and Punjab, “Soil Health and Organic Elements Management” training programme for officers of M.P. Forest Department, Funded by M.P. Forest Department, Capacity Building Training Programme on Incubation Opportunities for Agribusiness in FPO’s(Farmer Producer Organization) funded by RKVY for the CEOs and BoDs of FPOs of MP. We trained about 200 members and Nos. of likewise programs are here. We have trained 850 (approx) participants on different issues of agriculture and allied. By and large, It has been supporting the doubling the farmers income by 2022 campaign along with the states priority of ‘Farm as Enterprises’ promotion and the impact of this has been clearly seen on the society.
